How university counseling centers help (and hurt) students seeking mental health care

For this story, I talked to four students who received some form of mental health care from their university counseling centers about their experiences. While some students found that university-provided counseling worked for them, others learned the hard way that many of their counseling centers just wouldn’t work for them. When it comes to school size and the severity of mental illness or issues students face, university counseling centers have a lot to overcome to adequately help today’s students.
